Before you start
- Install VidKite Pro v1.6.2 on Windows or an Apple silicon Mac.
- Keep the computer connected to the internet while using the bot.
- Use a Telegram account that can message your new bot.
1. Create your Telegram bot
- In Telegram, search for the verified @BotFather account.
- Open the chat, send /newbot, and follow the prompts to choose a display name and a username ending in bot.
- BotFather returns an API token. Treat this token like a password and do not post it publicly.
2. Connect the bot to VidKite
- Open VidKite Pro and select Robot Management.
- Choose the Telegram card, paste the complete bot token, and save the configuration.
- Select Start. The Telegram status should change to running.
3. Send your first download task
- Open the bot username in Telegram and select Start.
- Send one supported public video URL in the chat.
- VidKite receives the task on your computer, downloads it to the selected folder, and replies with the result.
Run Telegram and Feishu together
Open each card in Robot Management, save its own credentials, and start both connections. They share the desktop app's save location, trial or license, and download queue, but each bot keeps its own status and settings.
Troubleshooting
Telegram says the bot token is invalid
Copy the token again from BotFather without spaces or quotation marks. If the token was reset, replace the old token in VidKite.
The bot receives links but cannot send a reply
Make sure the chat has started the bot, Telegram is reachable from the computer, and VidKite remains open. Stop and start the Telegram connection once after correcting the network.
The desktop app downloads but Telegram does not
Confirm the Telegram status says running, then send the exact public video page URL. Feed, profile, search, private, or login-only links may not work.
